“Time is the best gift you can give someone,” she said
“Because when you give your time, you’re giving a portion of
your life that you will never get back.”
She gives her time to everyone she loves. But it’s quite hard to
give it to everyone in equal measurement.
Her time wasn’t enough for everyone.
-o-
One time, she thought about it.
She tried so hard to keep having quality time with each people.
But she failed.
She barely has time for herself.
“Maybe, time together, as magical as it is, can make up for as
much lost time as possible,” she said to herself.
She knew it was a lie.
That initial catch-up isn’t enough.
The moment she decided to give them less time, they were
beginning to drift away from her.
It was the little things she used to hear every day.
She started to hear it less and less.
Till she heard nothing from them.
It’s just they start to feel like they’re not her
priority. They feel like she has no time for them anymore.
The time between returned phone calls and text has widened.
She rarely has quality time with them.
She would actually give anything to do completely normal things
as she used to do with them before.
Things that would mean they were a part of her every day,
regular, fun old routine.
She daydream about how she would have their back if they weren’t
a million miles away from her.
And she blames it on the distance.
She misses them so much it hurts sometimes.
And all she could do was apologizing,
for not making more time for them.
∞
For her whom I
rarely spend time with.
For the one I love who
lives far away.
