“There’s going to be times, when you’re going
to give every part away to people, and they’ll still leave,” they said
“Yeah, and sometimes, you love them too much
you’re going to wait for them to come back, you still have this tiny hope they’ll
run back to you no matter what,” they said
“I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. It
makes no sense, because if they truly loved you, you won’t need to wait for
them to come back, because they won’t leave in the first place,” she remarked
“It doesn’t need to make sense, because my
love, some things in life are just not meant to make sense,” they said
“When you love a person, no matter how long it
has been, or how badly they’ve treated you, if they say ‘I love you’, you’ll
say it right back. You know, love doesn’t always make sense, it just simply is.
You can’t logic your way into or out of it,” they continued
“But, that kind of love is ironic,” she said
“Yeah, it is,” they said
-o-
She was ironic.
Yeah, she used to believe that if it’s hurt,
it wasn’t love.
That people don’t leave because they love her,
because if they truly loved her, they would fear losing her more, they would
fear placing her in this broken, messy state.
But now, she doesn’t even know what or who to believe
anymore.
People leave, but she still loves them.
Sometimes, she thinks she’s already over a
person, but when she sees him smiling at her, suddenly she’ll realize that she’s
just pretending to be over him just to ease the pain of knowing that it’s over.
When she senses his freakin’ good smell, she can’t understand how his fragrance
still walks along with her, it’s intoxicating.
It’s so hard to be over someone she meets on
daily basis because she doesn’t trust herself to see them, to sense their
presence.
She doesn’t trust herself to fall all over
again,
because she knows very well, they’ll leave her
once more.
