“Are you okay?” he asked
“Why would you care?” she answered
“I’m asking you, are
you really better?” he asked
“I’m trying to be,” she
thought
-o-
She’s not better,
and she may never get better,
it’s getting worse each day,
she keeps waiting for someone to figure that out,
and they don’t,
not even him.
He makes this whole
overture like he truly cares, but the whole time, he really into someone else.
He may enjoy their
time together, but she knows that it’s not quite the same experience for him.
The more she thought
about it,
the more she figured that
she liked him so much more than he liked her.
She knows it, he knows
it, everyone knows it.
And that sounds okay.
Actually, she isn’t sure
why would anyone love her,
because she doesn’t
even love herself.

They say you can’t love someone unless you
love yourself first,
because you need to love yourself enough to
where you have love left over to share.
