Having a sister is such
an adorable gift.
When she was born, I found her as my sister, but as the years have passed, I discovered her as one of my best friends.
When she was born, I found her as my sister, but as the years have passed, I discovered her as one of my best friends.
She is turning
seventeen today, on the nineteenth day of May.
I basically want to
take a few paragraphs to tell the world how wonderful she becomes, isn’t this
the day when I can do that? Haha
Well, I can only
squeeze in a few qualities and memories of her, before this ends up being a
novel instead, so here I go.
My sister is amazing.
She’s also super chill.
I’m incredibly proud
of the young woman she becomes--the fact that I can even refer her as a young
woman makes me realize how much time has passed. She’s not a shy little girl as
she used to be.
She’s better, like a
wine, she just keeps getting better with age. And I never could have asked for
a better sister than her. She always acts like the big sister tho, because I
was always so childish hehe. I think maybe, she should’ve been one hmm.
I always try to be a
good older sister for her all my life. Being a good example for her, so she
could proudly say that I’m her sister. But really, maybe maturity isn’t really my
thing.
When we were small, we
argued A LOT. I always love her though. After we got through the childhood
years, we became very close and have remained so until this day. I know it
shall be for as long as we live btw. Hahah.
It was so sad that she
had to face so many farewells in her life at the moment, even when she wasn’t
ready at all. At the age of twelve, I had to leave her to study at high school.
Moved to a brand new
society was really hard. Finding people that compatible with me was extremely
difficult. I met so many competitors that worked their ass off just to get good
grades, it made me feel so small. And to be honest, I missed her a lot at the
first year, I suffered a lot but I knew I could do it.
I convinced her to go
to the same high school as I was, and she did. I knew that it would be hard for
her too, but I was sure that she would survive just like I did.
At that time, I feel
like she has changed, to the positive way of course. She was once an immature
brat, as if everything that came from her was right. It’s not that she was an
awful person, it’s just that she used to angry a lot when she didn’t get what
she wants.
Besides, she used to
struggle to find a friend too. But now, she has so many people behind her back that
always support her through her ups and downs. They gave her encouragements. They
make her change to a better person she is rn.
Finally, she arrived
at her turning point in life. She has to be strong and independent. She has
to choose what she wants to be. For the past sixteen
years, she has seen, learnt, and experienced many things in life, I couldn’t
be prouder of her.
So, happy sweet
seventeenth birthday for my sweet sister.

A sister is someone who loves you from the heart.
No matter how much you argue, you cannot be drawn apart.
She is a joy that cannot be taken away.
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.
